The Scottish Enterprise Unlocking Ambition cohort have undertaken four Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurship masterclasses throughout the UA programme, taking place in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh, each showcasing how values-based business is good for business and how a human driven approach and focus on positive impact can drive scale and success.
Delivered by Cultural Enterprise Office (CEO) and Social Investment Scotland (SIS) and facilitated by CEO’s Rachael Brown, the masterclasses have featured a roll call of inspirational senior leaders demonstrating how impact and purpose has shaped success in their businesses across a number of sectors, including Philip Ullman, the Cordant Group, Fleur Emery, food and drink entrepreneur, Con Gornell, former Marketing Exec at Warner Bros, Mark Logan, COO of Skyscanner and Roz Cuschieri, former CEO of Genius Foods, not to mention key insights from a diverse range of experts from comedians to a panel of Globalscots to the London Deputy Mayor for London, Rajesh Agrawal.
The fourth and final masterclass took place at the inspirational Grassmarket Project in Edinburgh on the 15th January and featured sessions from entrepreneurial leader extraordinaire, ex-MD of The Wood Group and previous Chairman of Scottish Enterprise, Bob Keiller and the inimitable product innovation specialist Margaret McSorley Walker.
The SE UA cohort were joined by a number of the RSE Unlocking Ambition Enterprise Fellows for the session, with key takeaways including how the best way to tell the stories of your values is through the actions of your people and the importance of being ahead of your market trend.
