38 new entrepreneurs joining Unlocking Ambition
Thirty eight of Scotland’s most talented, innovative and ambitious entrepreneurs are joining Scotland’s flagship entrepreneurial development programme, Unlocking Ambition.
These companies will look to build upon the successes achieved by previous participants such as Talking Medicines, Brewgooder, Hey Girls and Sustainably as they drive transformative change through investment, innovation and exporting. Entrepreneurs participating in Unlocking Ambition are based across Scotland and represent a broad range of business activity, such as sustainable construction materials, solar thermal heating systems and medical grade vital sign wearable technology. The business founders joining the programme this year have been specifically chosen for their potential to contribute to Scotland’s continuing economic recovery from COVID-19 and Scotland’s journey towards a net zero economy.
Over the next eight months, this group of entrepreneurs will take part in an intensive programme of entrepreneurial leadership masterclasses and events, be linked with investors, specialist business support and benefit from joining a growing alumni of over 100 Scotland-based founders. Previous Unlocking Ambition masterclass contributors included senior leaders from LinkedIn, Netflix, Survey Monkey, Apple and Facebook as well as a range of GlobalScots. Each company will also receive access to the £1M UA Development Grant Fund plus business advice, mentoring and in-kind support provided by SE and its partners including FutureX Innovations and Entrepreneurial Scotland.
